Without igniting a political or religious debate, I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on gay marriage, which has become a hot topic once again. Currently there are 2 states I think that allow gay marriage. Another handful recognize domestic partnerships in some form or another, and 26 states say no way.
Since our 4 day workshop, if one thing stuck with me, it was “Be first at something”.
In your own little corner of the world, would you be the first to photograph a gay wedding? Would you be the first to feature a gay wedding on your website?

based on my own personal beliefs, i would say no. i like to feel comfortable with the clients i shoot, and i know i definitely would not feel that way with a same-sex couple. but i still have the love for those that choose to live that life.
Chris, as you know over here its all GO for the pink pound.
The trouble is they consider it a party not a Wedding and normally have a heart attack when you tell them the price.
How much !!!! for photos ? So yes a new market but not as well paid as the tradition regardless of your beliefs, etc.
What the hell go for it anyway and teach us all something.

The pink pound is a play on the colour pink associated with Gay. Its not derogatory just what it is refered to as opposed to the green pound, the standard colour of money (sterling)
